Mustache March '09.

This year I actually participated in Mustache March at work. My mustache goes beyond the corners of my mouth and is therefore out of regs, but that's kind of the point:

Mustache March is about the only Air Force tradition that does NOT involve alcohol. I finally got rid of it today because I felt so damn creepy with it and also because I'm going on leave tomorrow and won't be back until after the competition is over (this coming Saturday).

It's sad that I won't even be able to compete after all this hard work. I definitely would've won the "thinnest" or "creepiest" category.

I barely even recognize myself without it.

It's good for camaraderie to look skeevy together.

I saw a pilot with a porn-stache. It was awesome.

I hate Mustache March. A couple guys could pull it off, but every time I go down to the flight line, I feel like I'm surrounded by child molesters or something. It's creepy and a major turn-off.

We call them "creeperstaches" around USO because the guys that come in sporting them usually make us shudder and wish our cops were around to run interference.

Do most of the guys returning from the desert have one or do they shave it before the return flight?

Most of the guys we see with creeperstaches are retired. The guys coming home from the desert usually have full-on beard stubble from 3+ days of traveling. The guys going back to the desert after their R&R are clean shaven.

I can't wait for Mustache March to be over. All of the guys around here have one and it's creepy and weird. They're not used to it ... so they play with em ALL THE TIME. Very distracting. When they're growing in, I always have to stop myself from saying, "Oh, so-n-so, you've got something on your lip." I'm glad yours is creepy and weird, too. =)

You should grow a beard and see if you're one of those guys who can grow a decent beard but a weak 'stache. No offense to your 'stache, I mean, but it looks like a caterpillar got a haircut and left you the swept-up clippings.
