I'm Chris, a 23-year old white male originally from Harbor City, Los Angeles, California. I have a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Cal State Long Beach and became a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force on June 2nd, 2007. I am now working at Tyndall Air Force Base as a Weapons System Evaluator. I am essentially a nerd in uniform but very proud to serve my country.
I like to read, travel, take pictures, and go jogging. My favorite book is Flyboys by James Bradley. My favorite travel destination so far has been France. My photos are available here. I ran my first marathon in the city of Los Angeles on March 4th, 2007. It was in a delirious state on that day that I decided to make my journal public again, after about a year of friends-onlyness.
I am politically opinionated but highly confused about my political identity. I think I am now a moderate extremist/radical moderate, recovering from a few years of chronic libertarianism and before that, (ugh) conservatism. I had a liberal streak in high school, too, that was due entirely to brainwash. I tend to criticize the left and right equally, so be sure not to get confused about where I'm coming from whenever I express my opinion on something.
